“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”  James 4: 6-8

“The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Isaiah 61:1

We now understand that we must hear God to stay free from addiction.

“I do not ask for these (12 Apostles) only, but also for those who believe in me (us) through their word. That they all may be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so the world may believe that you sent me.”  John 17:20-21

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those that seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

Cleaning up my life is a good thing, but I now know I cannot stay the course without the power of God.

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
