Cleaning up my life is a good thing, but I now know I cannot stay the course without the power of God.

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”

“It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and the end of the earth.” Acts 7:1

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as from the only son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14

Jesus said “I am the true vine and my father is the vinedresser.  Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes that it may bear more fruit.  Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.  Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.  I am the vine you are the branches.  Whoever abides in me and I in him, he is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15: 1-5

We trust God, live by His words, and enter into His rest.

“Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

“Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart.” 1 Peter 1:22

We trust God, live by His words, and enter into His rest.

“And Jesus answered them “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ’Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:21,22

We trust God, live by His words, and enter into His rest.

I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2

We are in anticipation for what God has for us because we love Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will hear you.”   Jeremiah 29:11,12

We see God has a plan for our life and we are getting on the path to that plan.

“May the Lord give strength to His people, May the Lord bless His people with peace.” Psalm 29:11
