Boys-and-Moms

February 11, 2014 By rjmorris

mom and sonYoung boys always need their mother’s love. There is a day when a boy must come out from his mother’s skirt to become a man. If she doesn’t begin to let go, she will make his growth difficult and painful for both of them.  Dads masculine input is critical at this point to make the process healthy.

Healthy-Hugs

February 9, 2014 By rjmorris

Little girls need  healthy embraces from their Dad so they know what that  is like before they start dating in their teens.  When ladies are sizing up men as a mate, they need some history with Dad as a measuring tape.  Selecting a man is one of the most important decisions they face and there is not much training for it other than watching Mom and Dad.dads and daughters

Losing-A-Spouse

January 16, 2014 By rjmorris

losing a spouseYou were married a long time. Your spouse is gone because of either divorce or death. There is a empty hole in your heart. You need to talk about it but so far no one understands.

First don’t make any major changes go six months. It takes time to process grief. People process in different ways. Crying is one of the best ways. Write down your thoughts. Start with minor changes. Try a new haircut. Buy some new clothes. Go someplace you have never been to. Don’t isolate but don’t try too hard to meet new people. There is a new day coming in your future.

Regret

January 10, 2014 By rjmorris

You have been saying things you wish you could take back. Doing things you regret.  It’s like sometimes a different person takes over.  It’s spooky.  You need help but don’t know where to go or who to ask.

 regret

What you are feeling not that unusual.  There is a lot going on in the spiritual realm that you can’t see.

God loves you and he wants you free.  You may not have ever prayed before but just ask him in your own words to help you.  I promise you He will help you.  It probably won’t happen the way you expect it.

Words-Are-Powerful

Words can tear down or build up. For example you can tell a child “You will never amount to anything” or you can say “I see you have an ear for music.” When you see a penny on the sidewalk you can pick it up and say “Money is coming to me today.” Or you […]

Shame-Resistance

If I’m going to be ashamed I’m not going to do it. If I’m going to do it I’m not going to be ashamed.

Climate-Change-Really?

We have a compulsion to simplify the complex. Most people have decided what is true and what is false.  Look at the earth’s average temperature over the past ten years.  Almost flat. Is Climate Change an emergency?
