Words-Are-Powerful

March 6, 2019 By rjmorris 2,258 Comments

The words we speak have enormous power to tear down or to build up.  Children are affected the rest of their lives.  They internalize words like “You will never amount to anything.” or ” That picture you drew was awesome”.  We also speak to ourselves and either curse or build up.  “I can’t sing” or “Good things are happening all around me”.  Also, others are affected by our words whether they hear them or not. “You drive like an idiot, you need a ticket” or “She looks depressed, a great circumstance will change her life today”. Choose your words carefully, your words are powerful.

Inner-Circle

May 7, 2018 By rjmorris 6,148 Comments

A high performing leader needs an inner circle. Start with one person but expand to two or three. Don’t try and fulfill the highest purpose you were created for without input from people with talent that you don’t have.

Ideas-Success

May 22, 2017 By rjmorris Leave a Comment

We say action speaks louder than words, however, words are required before action. Remember words and action are only two of the components of success.

Ideas prompt thoughts, thoughts crystalize into words, words produce action, action of key people create success.

Words-Are-Powerful

May 18, 2017 By rjmorris 3,185 Comments

Words can tear down or build up. For example you can tell a child “You will never amount to anything” or you can say “I see you have an ear for music.”

When you see a penny on the sidewalk you can pick it up and say “Money is coming to me today.” Or you can walk on by and think “I’m too good to stop and pick up something so insignificant.”

You can tell your spouse “You are amazing and you look stunning.” or you can say “I can tell you didn’t get much done today.”

The words you choose are more powerful than you can imagine.

Wounds-of-the-Heart

May 12, 2017 By rjmorris Leave a Comment

Wounds leave you stuck in the past. Self pity gives you a license to stay there. Wounds don’t go away with time, they have to heal. Healing the heart is a series of choices. The choices are not easy but they make a path to move on.

Psalm91-In-My-Words

March 30, 2017 By rjmorris Leave a Comment

I am not afraid day or night. When I sleep I know He is watching over me. When conflict comes I am confident even when people all around me perish. Through my protection I see evil destroyed and since His house is my house I am protected.

He has instructed angels to protect me.

Since I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ I know He loves me, and I love Him. I will live a long time because I know that He is always there for me and will never let me down.

Prayer

February 12, 2014 By rjmorris 36 Comments

answered prayerSometimes prayer by someone else prompts me to be a blessing. They pray, God speaks, and I hear.  My action become answered prayer.

Sometimes people don’t know what to pray.  I pray for them.  God speaks and someone else hears and their action becomes an answered prayer.

Pray specific prayers.  Pray for people to come or go and do.  Be ready to answer prayer by coming, going, and doing.

Christians are connected by the Holy Spirit.  We are a living body.

Shame-Resistance

If I’m going to be ashamed I’m not going to do it. If I’m going to do it I’m not going to be ashamed.

Climate-Change-Really?

We have a compulsion to simplify the complex. Most people have decided what is true and what is false.  Look at the earth’s average temperature over the past ten years.  Almost flat. Is Climate Change an emergency?
